ABOUT

Jenny and Arthur

AROUND THE TURN OF THE CENTURY, if you knew the right people and called the right numbers, a small secret contract killing agency called Bloodpool can have someone killed for you, provided you can pay the price.

But COOPER BULLET isn't about Bloodpool. It's about the two idiots you PAY to have someone killed.

COOPER BULLET is an ongoing comic by yours truly, midgetsausage. Set in the late 90's-early 2000's, this comic follows the lives of two hitmen, Jennifer Austere and Arthur Brooks, as they both take on loads of contracts, deal with all kinds of assorted targets, and subsequently slowly rise to infamy with each kill... at the behest of Bloodpool, the agency that employs them.

Mixing black comedy with some drama & neo-noir elements and paired with a rough, sketchy black-and-white chiaroscuro art style inspired by Lupin the Third (among other things), this is one of my two long-term projects alongside my game A WASTE o' TIME.

OUR DEAR PROTAGONISTS

Jennifer Austere

JENNIFER AUSTERE

27, FILIPINO

A contract killer under Bloodpool, Jenny is Arthur's partner-in-crime. A reckless, somewhat incompetent alcoholic (and she is those things, yes), underneath is a cold and calculating killer that shouldn't be underestimated. At least, y'know, that's what she suggests.

Arthur Brooks

ARTHUR BROOKS

25, ENGLISH

Also a contract killer under Bloodpool, Arthur is Jenny's partner-in-crime. While not as proficient and prominent as Jenny, he aids in making sure she doesn't go too overboard and actually gets the job done without any derails or detours. He also works retail as a day job and is incredibly tired.

OTHER INFO

When do comics get uploaded?

COOPER BULLET has NO UPLOAD SCHEDULE, as the production of each File varies greatly, so it really depends. Short ones take a couple weeks at best. Long ones at most take a handful of months. My deepest apologies.

Alright then, where do I get updates?

There's the Updates page for that.

I also usually post any updates (if ever) on my BlueSky. Occasionally, such as if I'm done with a certain major part of the comic, I'd also make a newspost on my Newgrounds. I might consider making an RSS feed if people really want that sort of thing.

I will warn you though, when it comes to my BlueSky, I mostly just post unrelated doodles there. But you can check on the #cooperbullet Bsky hastag every few weeks to see if I've done anything substantial.

Can I repost this comic elsewhere?

I personally don't want to see this comic reuploaded IN FULL (like, entire issues) elsewhere apart from this site and my Newgrounds; however, as the comic uses a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 License, you technically can as long as you credit me. So there's that.

What's being used to make COOPER BULLET?

A Logitech mouse and Adobe Flash CC 2015, previously Flash CS6. Photoshop CS6 was formerly involved to apply a paper filter over the pages, but turns out that too could be done in Flash by way of movie clip symbols.

A little fun fact, a very tiny portion of File 3 was done with a tiny Huion drawing tablet I borrowed from my sister. Unfortunately she didn't like that I scratched the surface of the damn thing, and it felt better to do the comic's scratchy style with a mouse's erratic movements anyway, so she banned me from ever using her tablet again and I no longer wish for a drawing tablet.

Would you draw [thing] for me in this comic's art style?

For fifteen dollars, ABSOLUTELY.
